Matilda McNamara

Matilda McNamara played two matches for Adelaide United during the 2015/16 season and returned to the Reds in 2019 after a strong year with Adelaide City having made 19 appearances and winning the WNPL treble with the Black and Whites. The then 21-year-old made a seamless transition and ultimately played in four of the final five matches of the 2019/20 season. McNamara's sensational form continued as she enjoyed a breakout 2020/21 campaign at centre-back, playing every minute of every match while scoring one goal on her way to being named the Reds' W-League Rising Star.
