Biography
James Troisi joined the Reds after signing a two-year contract with his hometown Club. The Adelaide local has been capped 37 times by the Socceroos and has experienced a career that has seen him play in Europe, Asia and Australia. The 31-year-old boasts an impressive pedigree representing Turkish Süper Lig clubs Gençlerbirliği SK and Kayserispor between 2008 and 2012 before moving to Serie A side Atalanta following a co-ownership deal with Juventus. The attacking midfielder also featured in two FIFA World Cup matches in 2014 and scored the winning goal against Korea Republic in extra-time in the 2015 Asian Cup Final. Troisi spent the past three seasons with rivals Melbourne Victory - his second stint with the team - and notched 17 goals and as many assists in 91 games. He also scored against Chile during the Group Stage of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.
