E. Checker

Having played for AUFC Women for two seasons between 2011 and 2013, Checker returned to her hometown after spells with Melbourne Victory and Canberra United, as well as South Korean outfit Incheon Red Angels. Ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, the three-time capped Matilda was appointed as the team’s Captain due to her natural leadership attributes and composure at the back. The 22-year-old featured in all 12 matches and was a model of consistency, expertly commanding the defensive line.
