Biography
Čavušević moved to Adelaide halfway during the 2017/18 season, bolstering the Reds’ attacking options for Head Coach, Marco Kurz. The Slovenian striker began his career at NK Domžale in his homeland until moving to Switzerland in 2010 to sign with second division outfit Wil 1900. After a prolific two-year spell he joined Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen amassing over 80 appearances in the top-flight. He then signed with FC Zürich in 2016 and helped them secure promotion back to the first tier. The 30-year-old, who has two senior international caps, made his Reds debut in an impressive cameo appearance against the Central Coast Mariners in Round 20.
