Head Coach Josep Gombau has selected a younger Reds squad to take on Adelaide Comets on Tuesday 29 July at the Adelaide Shores Football Centre.

Several key A-League players will be rested after an intense week of training leading up to last Friday night’s LFP World Challenge match against Málaga CF.

However, this will provide the opportunity for these younger Reds to perform and impress under the guidance of Gombau.

“We want to see these younger players playing games, for ninety minutes,” said Gombau

“They need to have more game time, and this is the perfect opportunity to give them that.

“I have also selected players from our Youth Team. I’ve seen them play and I like the way they play, so I want to also give them an opportunity.”

Tomorrow night’s game will give a glimpse of the younger stars of the Reds but also serve as a good test for those that may be selected for the upcoming Westfield FFA Cup match against Wellington Phoenix.

There will also be some of the A-League players in attendance, who will be available for photos and to sign autographs.

Fans of both clubs can see the players in action at the Adelaide Shores Football Centre. Gates will open at 6:00pm, with a 7:00pm kick-off.
