The Adelaide United Youth Team will travel to the Cove FC in Round 17 of the NPL State League at the Cove Sports and Community Centre on Saturday afternoon.

With the Young Reds coming off a third straight victory and the Cove coming off a hard fought 2-2 draw, both teams will be in search for three points in order to repel themselves up the table.

Leading goal scorer of the Young Reds Doni Pollock says the team is feeling confident and believes tomorrows match against The Cove will be a good test away from home.

“The boys are feeling confident as our form has been pretty good off late winning three in a row,” said Pollock.

“We know that this weekend is massive as we play two tough sides. So playing Cove tomorrow we need to be up for it and know that they’ll come out full of run and it’s our responsibility to stop it and make sure we play on our terms.

“Obviously, in our last encounter we had the better of them, so I think they’ll be after revenge and we need to be at our best to win.”

In the past three games, the Young Reds have scored a combined 15 goals and marksman Doni Pollock believes the service has been fantastic for him and others to get the ball and punish oppositions.

“We have been practicing lots of attacking movements and build up play at training this week, so we are really focusing on that aspect and obviously keeping the ball at all times,” said Pollock.

“In the last couple of weeks we have been able to score lots of goals due to holding the ball and getting in and around the opposition defence.

“We hope to achieve the same and hopefully get a few goals, play the style and get three points.”
