The Adelaide United Youth Team will take on Eastern United in Round 5 of NPL State League at the Athelstone Recreation Reserve on Monday Afternoon.
Playing three games in six days, the Youth Team will be up against Eastern United on the Adelaide Cup long weekend holiday.
Head Coach Michael Valkanis is proud of what the boys have done so far especially with the amount of games in a short period of time.
“They’re doing well, I’m happy,” said Valkanis.
“The first few round was always going to be tough. We had to juggle NYL games with NPL games. But now that the NYL season has finished, we can focus on preforming better in the NPL.”
The Young Reds who sit 2nd on the table and has scored the most goals in the league so far, Michael Valkanis still insists that they need stick to the Adelaide United Style and take their chances when they come.
“I think the boys need to concentrate in regards to playing the Adelaide United style,” said Valkanis.
“They need to keep creating the chances and maximizing all of them, but at the same time being ready to defend and being able to stop the more physical opponent in transition.”
