Scans have revealed that Adelaide United FC attacking midfielder Dario Vidosic faces 2-3 weeks on the sideline with a hamstring injury.

Vidosic injured his hamstring just after the half hour mark in the Reds- loss to the Pohang Steelers in South Korea on Tuesday night, forcing the former FC Nuremberg midfielder to make an early exit from the game.

After touching down back in Adelaide with the rest of the squad this morning, the Reds- number ten had an MRI scan this afternoon, which confirmed he has a slight hamstring strain.

The prognosis means Vidosic will be touch and go on whether he recovers in time for Adelaide United-s next AFC Champions League match against Pohang at Hindmarsh Stadium in a fortnight.

His progress will be closely monitored by the club-s medical staff in the lead up to the game.

Tickets for the match against the Pohang Steelers on Wednesday 18 April 2012 are available through Ticketek.
