Adelaide United FC can confirm midfielder Dario Vidosic-s back injury is not season ending and that there is a chance he could be back within three weeks.

Contrary to murmurs circulating that Vidosic-s season could be over due to a back injury he suffered during the Reds- match against the Wellington Phoenix on November 19, the Qantas Socceroo clarified that it is not a long term setback.

Dario had resumed full training late last week in preparation for the Newcastle match, passing a fitness test on Friday morning and assuring Coach Rini Coolen he was ready to play.

From the results of bone scans Vidosic had this morning, Adelaide United Doctor James Ilic confirmed, “Dario has an un-displaced fracture of upper lumbar transverse process. He will miss this week-s game but could resume within 2-3 weeks depending on the level of discomfort.”

Vidosic, who got through 53 minutes of last Friday night-s draw against the Newcastle Jets before succumbing to soreness in his back, believes it will be a matter of how the healing and recovery process goes to determine when he will be available to take the field again.
