The atmosphere at Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory matches is richly enhanced by the efforts of both clubs- fans to attend interstate games.
The home side will always have the balance of numbers so to speak, but whether it be in Melbourne or Adelaide, this much anticipated fixture will always attract support from both sides of the border.
And so it was at Hindmarsh last Friday night, with hundreds of Victory fans making the effort to come to Adelaide in support of their team.
Adelaide does not get to experience a cross town derby, but the club does enjoy arguably the biggest rivalry in the Hyundai A-League with the Victory. Special thanks to the Victory fans who undoubtedly helped ensure the air of anticipation and excitement on Friday. Adelaide United fans will do the same when they are in Melbourne next.
