United’s AFC Champions League Group decided

Adelaide United’s fate in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League 2017 Group Stage has been revealed following the competition’s official draw in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Tuesday.

The AFC Champions League (ACL) draw took place at the Hilton Petaling Jaya, Selangor in Kuala Lumpur at 6.30pm ACDT, disclosing Adelaide’s group stage opponents. 

The Reds have been pitted in Group H and will play Chinese Super League outfit Jiangsu Suning, 2016 ACL Champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of Korea Republic, and the winner from Play-off 2. 

The final team in the group will be determined in early February 2017 after the conclusion of the qualifying play-off round.   

The 2017 AFC Champions League will be the South Australian’s fifth appearance in Asia’s premier club competition.

Adelaide United will begin their ACL group stage campaign in February 2017.
