Adelaide United will face Sydney FC on the weekend, after a solid 4-2 win against the Central Coast Mariners. The Reds are also well amongst the race for top spot on the Hyundai A-League table and are positive they can triumph over the Sky Blues in Round 26.

And with Pablo Sánchez confirming the Club’s game-by-game philosophy has not altered, the team’s focus is firmly set on beating Sydney. He also commented on United’s work ethic on the training ground, which he believes has helped with their recent results.

“We are very positive about our next game against Sydney FC,” Pablo Sánchez said. “We are in a good position on the table, which gives us more confidence.

“We have been training hard to prepare for the game and we are ready to go to Sydney and get the three points.

“Our main focus is on the game this weekend, and if we get the points, we will think about the Finals after as we need to perform well every single game.

“We as a team are in good condition and we always work hard as a team together.

“You can see from the results, our hard work has paid off so far and we want that to continue.”

Pablo Sánchez is currently the Reds’ leading goal scorer, bagging seven goals. And after recently recovering fully from a slight hamstring issue that saw him miss two matches, the Spaniard believes he can now push on and score more goals to help his teammates in the next few matches.

“I will continue to train hard and keep my mind set on scoring goals,” he continued.
“I have been very happy with my performances and with my seven goals so far.

“My goal is to keep scoring and help my team, as every goal will help us for the remainder of the season and as Finals approach this is important.”

Adelaide United will face Sydney FC in Round 26 of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season on Saturday, 2 April at Allianz Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.00pm ACDT.
