Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today announced that an Adelaide man will be banned from attending any match under the jurisdiction of FFA for a period of two years.
The man was found to have breached the FFA Spectator Code of Behaviour during an Hyundai A-League match between Adelaide United and Wellington Phoenix at Hindmarsh Stadium, Adelaide, on Sunday 16 December this year.
Adelaide United Football Club has simultaneously cancelled the Club membership held by this person.
The FFA ban includes any match in Australia conducted as part of the Hyundai A-League.
Clause (c) of the FFA Spectator Code of Behaviour says spectators must;
respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, language, politics, national or ethnic origin.
Compliance with the FFA Spectator Code of Behaviour is a condition of entry to all matches under the jurisdiction of FFA.
