Round 5 Stats Preview - #PERvADL

Ahead of Adelaide United’s away trip to Perth Glory on Saturday night, Opta has provided the key statistics for the clash.

The Reds have won two of their previous five encounters with the Glory, and last tasted success in the West in January 2016, thanks to a 3-1 triumph.

Adelaide have suffered defeat in just one of their past five away matches and will be after successive road victories for the first time since April 2016.

Marco Kurz’s men have also conceded first in each of their four Hyundai A-League games this season and will be desperate that changes on Saturday.

German midfielder, Daniel Adlung, finished with a passing accuracy rate of 91% against Melbourne City last weekend and fired three shots at goal.

Defender, Jordan Elsey, won 10 of his 12 duels in the City defeat and recorded two clearances.

Fellow centre-back, Ben Warland, was also impressive in his first league match of the season. The 21-year-old won six duels, three tackles and produced five clearances and three interventions.

Dynamic left-back, Ben Garuccio, leads the team in interceptions with 16, which is also the joint-highest in the competition.

Adelaide United will face Perth Glory in Round 5 of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season on Saturday, 4 November at nib Stadium. Kick-off is at 9.30pm ACDT.
