Ahead of Adelaide United’s huge clash against old foes Melbourne Victory on Saturday night, Opta has provided the key statistics.

The Reds are yet to lose against Melbourne under Head Coach, Marco Kurz, in their three matches in all competitions.

Adelaide will also be eager to secure back-to-back wins against the Victory for the first time since February 2013.

Heading into this Original Rivalry clash, the South Australians have suffered just one loss in their previous seven games, notching three wins and three draws. Meanwhile, Kevin Muscat’s men have lost their previous three league outings.

Moreover, United have won five of their past nine away matches and have conceded multiple goals on just two occasions during that stretch.

Jordan Elsey scored a terrific header, recorded a passing accuracy of 76% and made three clearances in the 2-2 draw against Central Coast last round.

Ben Garuccio enjoyed a productive outing against the Mariners, registering one assist and three interceptions. He also delivered 14 crosses into the area and won 14 of 19 duels.

Daniel Adlung put in a man of the match performance, setting up George Blackwood’s goal and created a further three chances, and fired three shots from outside the box.

After that unerring finish to bag the equaliser, Blackwood has now scored five goals in his past eight matches.

Adelaide United will face Melbourne Victory in Round 21 of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season on Saturday, 24 February at AAMI Park. Kick-off is at 7.20pm ACDT.
