Ahead of Adelaide United’s intriguing Round 2 clash with Brisbane Roar, Opta has provided the key statistics for the match.

Head-to-head nothing separates the two sides as Adelaide and Brisbane have claimed 15 wins apiece, leaving nine draws.

The Reds have tasted victory in three of their previous five meetings against their opponents and last won at Suncorp Stadium in January 2016, courtesy of a 4-1 win.

Adelaide recorded 69 passes in the attacking third against the Wellington Phoenix, more than any other side in the league.

Marco Kurz’s men will also be out to prevent the Roar from securing back-to-back home wins over Adelaide – something which the Queensland team has failed to achieve in six years.

As alluded to, the South Australians’ best record away from home is at Suncorp Stadium – claiming eight wins and five draws in 18 matches.

Reds dynamic left-back, Ben Garuccio made a game-high five interceptions, while also recording two successful tackles in the 1-1 draw with the Phoenix.

Resolute centre-half, Ersan Gülüm, won eight of his 14 duels, produced four clearances and registered two interceptions in his Adelaide debut.

United winger Nikola Mileusnic was impressive versus the ‘Nix as he boasted a passing accuracy of 84%, and assisted Johan Absalonsen from one of his three inviting crosses into the box.

Adelaide United will face Brisbane Roar in Round 2 of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season on Friday, 13 October at Suncorp Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.20pm ACDT.
