Ahead of Adelaide United’s crucial Round 11 away encounter with the Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday, Opta has provided the key statistics for the clash.
Adelaide are unbeaten in their previous six games against the Jets with three wins and three draws and have impressively kept a clean sheet in five of those fixtures.
However, it is expected to be a tight contest if history is anything to go by. There have been only three goals scored in the past four games between the Reds and Newcastle, all of which came in the first-half.
Incidentally, United are also the only team this season to have netted more goals from the left boot (4) than from the right (2).
Reds winger, Ryan Kitto, has completed a remarkable 83.8% of his total passes in the opposition half so far this campaign. It is the second most of any player in the competition, just trailing James Troisi (86%, minimum 50 passes).
Adelaide United will face Newcastle Jets in Round 11 of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season on Friday, 16 December at McDonald Jones Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.20pm ACDT.
