Adelaide United and the Glenelg Golf Club have established a new partnership, which will see Dylan McGowan become the Reds’ Glenelg Golf Club Ambassador.
As an ambassador with the Glenelg Golf Club, McGowan will be fundamental in the relationship between the two Clubs and will feature at a number of upcoming events.
Adelaide United will also hold its inaugural Adelaide United Golf Day at the Glenelg Golf Club later in 2016.
On Tuesday, McGowan visited the Club for the first time and was thrilled with the new partnership, which will see him have the chance to work on his golf game.
“It’s fantastic that the Glenelg Golf Club and United have joined forces and have allowed us players a great golf course to come and play,” McGowan said.
“I’m really looking forward to getting out and playing on what looks like a great golf course and I’m sure the boys will be keen for it as well.
“I don’t necessarily rate myself as a golfer, but I’m a very keen golfer. In comparison to the other boys in the team, though, I’m probably up there with the best.
“The best part of my game is probably just getting inside other people’s heads, but my short game isn’t too bad.
“Having this ambassadorial role, though, will hopefully give me enough time to work on all of it.”
Glenelg Golf Club’s Membership and Business Development Manager, James Hampel, also said how exciting the joining of the two Clubs is for everyone associated with them.
“Glenelg Golf Club is proud to associate ourselves with a strong brand such as the Adelaide United Football Club and connect with their broad network of supporters,” Hampel said.
“Adelaide United have fostered connections with a wide network of influential people and organisations, helping make them one of South Australia’s biggest sporting brands.
“We look forward to developing a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership with Adelaide United Football Club.”
