Reds take on Victory in a closed pre-season trial

Adelaide United continues it’s pre-season training with a closed trial match against Melbourne Victory at Coopers Stadium on Friday.

While the game is closed to the public, it gives Head Coach Josep Gombau a chance to work on some new movements.

“Some movements are new. Last week we played with three and tomorrow we have something new that I want to try,” said Gombau.

“We are treating this like a training session where we’ve just brought in another team to prepare our movements.

“It’s important for our players to get minutes against another A-league team.

The locked doors match will give the youngsters another opportunity to prove themselves while also giving new signing Craig Goodwin a chance to play his first match with his new teammates.
