Málaga CF have recently added three new and exciting faces to their squad

With only two weeks to go until the big clash, the Reds opponents and La Liga heavyweights, Málaga CF have recently added three new and exciting faces to their squad for the upcoming season.

Luis Alberto, Roberto Rosales and Arthur Boka have all recently joined the Los Boquerones and will be travelling to Adelaide later this month for the LFP World Challenge match on Friday 25 July at Adelaide Oval.

Luis Alberto (on loan from Liverpool FC for one season, with the option of another) was presented late last month to the fans. He also made his first statements as a member of the Blue and Whites: “I-ve got a good feeling about this; I was really keen to join Málaga CF. I hope to perform well this upcoming season, both individually and as a team.”

Roberto Rosales (Caracas, Venezuela, 20/11/1988) agreed terms that will link the Venezuelan international to the Blue and Whites for the next three seasons. The right winger has appeared for his national team on 50 occasions and has played for clubs in Belgium and Holland who have been in both the Europa league and UEFA Champions League.

Arthur Boka (Abiyán, Ivory Coast 02/04/1983) reached an agreement for the Ivory Coast-born player to join the Blue and Whites for the next two seasons. The left-winger developed the majority of his career in France and Germany, and took part in the last two World Cup tournaments with his national team. The new ‘Malaguista- player was officially presented to the fans on Tuesday 8 July. With these three signings adding strength the Málaga roster, Head Coach Josep Gombau was even more excited about the challenge.

“It is an exciting opportunity for our players to not only play against a strong La Liga side, but against talent that has national team experience,” said Gombau

“La Liga is one of the best in the world, and it shows by the players that want to play there.

“We will be up for a tough game which will be a great experience for the players and the fans.

Gombau was quick to send out a message to all fans to get behind the Reds in their first competitive match in preparation for Season 2014/15.

“I hope that all our fans will come to see and support us. It will be the perfect opportunity to show their support for international football in Adelaide and for our club.”
