Jeronimo has been released by the Reds by mutual agreement

Adelaide United officially advises that striker Jeronimo has been released by the club by mutual agreement.

The 28 year old has been offered a deal with the Newcastle Jets, which was signed earlier today. Part of the agreement is that Jeronimo will play his final game for the Reds against Málaga CF on Friday 25 July at the Adelaide Oval.

Since joining the Reds in 2012, Jeronimo has made 53 appearances and scored 17 goals.

Adelaide United Coach Josep Gombau thanked Jeronimo for his service to the club.

“Jeronimo is a player that helped the team a lot in his time here,” said Gombau.

“I want to say thanks for all his efforts and what he put into the team.

“He will play his last game against Málaga and I hope that the people come out to say goodbye, because he is a player that needs to be recognised.”

Since his arrival, Jeronimo has been a crowd favourite and will be missed. The club thanks Jeronimo for his services and wishes him all the best in the future.
