Adelaide United is excited to announce the re-signing of Laura Johns, ahead of the upcoming Westfield W-League 2018/19 season.
Johns returns on a one-year deal and provides consistency and further experience within Ivan Karlović’s side.
Johns featured in nine league games for the Reds during the 2017/18 season, after previously playing with the Club in the 2012/13 campaign.
In this season’s Women’s National Premier League (WNPL), the 24-year-old bagged nine goals in 20 games with Adelaide University.

Head Coach, Ivan Karlović, lauded the re-signing of Johns, saying he’s looking forward to seeing her develop further with another Westfield W-League season under her belt.
“We were able to get a strong idea of Laura’s abilities last season. After struggling with injury early last season we are excited to have her fit and ready for this campaign” Karlović explained.
“She carried that good form from the W-League season into the WNPL with Adelaide Uni and now it’s about Laura taking her game up another level.
“At 24, she has plenty of football experience and will be an important player for us in the new season.
“Laura’s maturity and leadership will help develop our young playing group.”
