Adelaide United FC wrapped up its Northern Territory tour with a 6-0 over the NorZone All Stars on Tuesday night in Darwin.

The 6-0 win meant the Reds completed their NT tour undefeated having beaten the Alice Springs All Stars 10-0 and Melbourne City 1-0 last week.

Playmaker Marcelo Carrusca opened the scoring from the spot after Bruce Djite was taken down from behind in the box.

The first was a fairly even contest with the NorZone All Stars pressing quite well and creating a few chances.

However, after the break, the Reds made a few changes which changed the pace of the game and gave the team more control.

Three minutes into the second half. Bruce Djite found some space inside the box to slot it past the keeper. This was followed by a Jimmy Jeggo strike four minutes later to make it 3-0.

The next twenty minutes were played mostly in the Reds attacking third, with numerous of chances being made.

Goals to Awer Mabil, Marck Ochieng and Dylan Smith in the final ten minutes of the match brought the score line to 6-0.

After the win, Head Coach Josep Gomabu was very satisfied with both the result and the experience.

“It was a good experience for everybody,” said Gomabu

“We worked on new movements and a new formation, but the players did well.

“In the first half me made a few mistakes, but in the second half we made a few changes and gained more control and made more passes.

“The whole North Territory – we enjoyed it a lot. It was a great experience and today we enjoyed here. It was a great night of football!”
