For the second year in a row, Adelaide United is delighted to announce a partnership with Soldier On and the annual AUFC Legends clash against the Australian Defence Force Open Men’s Football Team as part of commemorating Remembrance Round.

The AUFC Legends side, led by Reds stalwart, Travis Dodd, will face the Australian Defence Force (ADF) at Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 2.45pm, preceding the Reds’ Hyundai A-League match against Brisbane Roar.

Fans are encouraged to get down to Coopers Stadium early and watch some of the Reds’ most iconic players, take to the field.

Adelaide United Women’s all-time leading goal-scorer, Racheal Quigley, and Football South Australia 2017 Hall of Fame inductee, Kristy Moore, have also been included in the Legends side.

The Soldier On brand will feature on the front of the AUFC Legends’ playing jerseys in the match, worn by the likes of Dodd, Angelo Costanzo, and Marcelo Carrusca.

Soldier On is a not for profit organisation offering support services for contemporary veterans and their families.

The initiative will help generate awareness of the tremendous work they do for the Defence community, as well as raise funds at Coopers Stadium in the precincts.

Soldier On services are holistic, integrated and can be tailored to meet the needs of individuals and their families to aid recovery and assist with the transition to workplace.

“Adelaide United is proud to once again partner with Soldier On to aid in their support of former servicemen and servicewomen,” United Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Kosmina, said.

“The Remembrance Round fixture has become a key initiative for our Club and it is important that we continue to recognise the contribution those that serve our country have made to our quality of life here in Australia.

“Furthermore, it is important for us to acknowledge the achievements of our past players for their contributions not only to Adelaide United, but to South Australian football.

“Together we look forward to commemorating the significance of Remembrance Round with our fans on Sunday, 10 November.”
