Adelaide United is delighted to announce United States forward, Mallory Weber, has re-signed with the Club on loan for the Westfield W-League 2020/21 season.

Weber joined the Reds last season from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) outfit Utah Royals and experienced a successful campaign.

The 26-year-old scored four goals in 11 matches to claim the Golden Boot as well as the Club’s Westfield W-League Player of the Year and was voted Players’ Player by her Reds teammates.

Speaking on returning to Adelaide, Weber said: “I’m super excited to re-sign back here with Adelaide United, especially after last season.

“To have another year here with the Club is amazing and I’m just really grateful to be playing in the W-League again.

“This season we really want to improve on last year’s results and our aim is to make play-offs and see what happens from there.”

Adelaide United’s Westfield W-League Head Coach, Adrian Stenta, said: “The signing of Mallory is a great addition for our squad.

“She is a talented player and provides another dimension to our attack and was brilliant for us last season.

“We’re confident she can replicate those brilliant performances of last year and be that real difference in the final third.”

Adelaide United’s Head of Women’s Football, Ivan Karlović, added: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have Mallory return to the Club for the new W-League season.

“She adds quality and experience to the squad and was an important player for us last year.

“Mallory has now joined the playing group and begun training after completing her mandatory quarantine period.”

Following yesterday’s announcement of Dylan Holmes being named the Club’s Westfield W-League Captain, it can be announced that Weber and Sian Fryer-McLaren will compliment Holmes as joint Vice Captains.
