Adelaide United will kick-off the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season by hosting Sydney FC in a Friday night blockbuster at Coopers Stadium.
The Round 1 match against the Sky Blues will take place on 19 October in what will be the first of 14 home matches at Coopers Stadium this season.
Adelaide will have two home games against fierce rivals Melbourne Victory this campaign, the first occurring in Round 12 during the summer holidays on Wednesday, 9 January, before meeting a few months later on Good Friday in the second-to-last round of the regular season.
Remembrance Round will see Adelaide play at home on Remembrance Day for the third straight year as Marco Kurz’s men take on Perth Glory in a Sunday afternoon kick-off, a week prior to the competition pausing for the first of two FIFA international breaks.
The Reds welcome Western Sydney Wanderers to Coopers Stadium for its annual Boxing Day bout in Round 9, which this year will be a battle between German Head Coaches, Kurz and Markus Babbel.
The regular season for United will conclude on ANZAC Day in an away fixture against Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium.
