John Kosmina-s men are ready to pack their bags as they prepare for a testing week on the road with games in Gosford and Bathurst.

Flying out of Adelaide for Sydney on Friday, the Reds will hit the roads of NSW for two big games in the space of five days in what is certain to be a serious test of whether they can continue their unbeaten run.

First up, United-s squad will make the journey up the F3 for the toughest challenge in the Hyundai A-League – trying to overcome league leaders the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford, the Mariners unbeaten since October, while one has to go back to February 19 of last year for the last time they lost at home. The match at Bluetongue Stadium kicks off at 5.00pm (ACDT) on Saturday.

From there it-s then on to the inland town of Bathurst for a duel with the Newcastle Jets in a midweek regional encounter on Wednesday 25 January. The Reds will leave Gosford early on Sunday afternoon for the 234 kilometre bus ride to Bathurst, where they will spend two full days to prepare for the match, which will be held at Carrington Park.

After holding the Mariners to a 1-1 draw last weekend and awaiting the visit of the Wellington Phoenix on Friday night, the Jets, like the Central Coast, are certain to also prove extremely stiff competition.

The morning after the match in Bathurst, the Reds will then spend the majority of Australia Day travelling home, with a four hour bus trip back to Sydney before flying home to Adelaide.

Once they arrive home, the Reds will then have just two days to switch their focus to a clash with Perth Glory at Hindmarsh Stadium on Sunday, January 29.

It is going to be a big week for Adelaide United…hope you are looking forward to it! Tickets for the match against the Glory are available through Ticketek.
