The journey of every aspiring professional footballer starts somewhere and more often than not, local clubs play a massive role in the journey. Support from the grass roots level is important part of the success of professional clubs, and members of Adelaide United-s squad are well aware of this fact.

Over the past months, the Reds have been heading out to a host of local clubs to catch up with junior players from Adelaide-s local competitions. Reds players spent time encouraging and speaking with the kids during their training sessions while also taking time out to sign autographs and pose for photos.

Clubs the Reds have been to in 2011 include the northern clubs of Munno Para, Salisbury and north east to Campbelltown, while they have also been to Blue Eagles, Woodville White City, and south to Sturt Lions and Seaford, just to name a few. The Reds will continue to visit clubs during August & September.
