Ben Halloran insists Adelaide United will be doing everything in their power to claim the FFA Cup 2018 trophy.

The Reds produced a disciplined 2-0 victory over Bentleigh Greens in the Semi-final on Friday night to march into successive cup finals.

Halloran, himself, opened the scoring after finishing off a well-orchestrated move by George Blackwood, before Jordan Elsey secured the win after half-time.

“What better way to start the season than into a cup final,” Halloran told reporters at Adelaide Airport.

“Credit to the boys last night, I think we put in a pretty good performance out on the pitch.

“And I think we deserved to make the final. We want to win it, it’s silverware and it’s massive for the Club to win the FFA Cup.

“And we’re going to do everything we can to win it.”

It was Halloran’s maiden goal for the Reds and the 26-year-old was delighted it contributed in the win.

“My first goal for the Club is always a big occasion,” he said.

“So I’m happy to have gotten on the scoresheet.”

The six-time capped Socceroo believes he has adapted well to his new team since arriving in Adelaide following five years abroad in Germany and Japan.

“It’s taken obviously a bit of time to gel and adjust again to the A-League,” he said.

“But I think across the board we’ve got a fair bit of depth in the team and I think we’re looking pretty strong for round one.”

Halloran said his side do not have a preference on who they face in the decider, but regardless, is predicting a difficult game.

“They’re both strong teams so whoever we get in the final it’s going to be a tough game,” he continued.

“But I guess now we just shift our attention to round one which is only a couple of weeks away.”

The Reds will face the winner of Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC in tonight’s Semi-final, with the draw to reveal the host of the title decider occurring after the game, live and exclusive on Fox Sports, Channel 503.
