Reds boosted by big inclusion as Kurz announces squad for Jets clash

Adelaide United Head Coach, Marco Kurz, has named his Round 6 squad against Newcastle Jets on Saturday, boosted by the inclusion of one senior member.

In some welcomed news, striker Baba Diawara returns to the side for the first time since the Westfield FFA Cup semi-final, after overcoming a hamstring complaint.

Karim Matmour has also been cleared from any injury to his arm he suffered against Perth Glory last weekend, and is named in the 18-man side.

However, the Reds remain without a number of first-team regulars for the match with Ersan Gülüm still recovering on the sidelines with a punctured lung, while fellow centre-back, Taylor Regan, is nursing an ankle injury.

Johan Absalonsen and Vince Lia continue to be ruled out with thigh and knee injuries respectively.
