Adelaide United is delighted to announce a new partnership with Adelaide Hills winery ‘Bird in Hand-.

As is the case with all of Adelaide United-s corporate partners and supporters, the support of Bird in Hand definitely means a great deal to the club.

Signing on as a ‘coaches sponsor- for the 2011/12 season, Bird in Hand Executive Director Andrew Nugent can see the company-s association with South Australia-s team in the Hyundai A-League as being advantageous for both parties.

“In the last few years the business has grown dramatically and our focus is on growing Bird in Hand into a truly global, luxury lifestyle brand,“ Mr Nugent said.

“Our partnership with Adelaide United is a natural one – we are both on top of our game and working hard towards supremacy in Australia and overseas. We are also lucky to have fans who are totally dedicated and passionate about our brands.”

“We are proud to be associated with the club and look forward to a season of quality play and excellent wines!”

“We are looking forward to getting Rini and other members of Adelaide United up to the winery so they can see the best of what the Hills has to offer in terms of scenery, hospitality and of course, wine!”

Located at Woodside in the scenic Adelaide Hills, Bird in Hand winery has established itself, not only for the exceptional quality of their wines, but also as one of the most innovative cellar doors in the Hills. With a new cellar door and tasting area, an art gallery showcasing artists from around Australia, and facilities for wedding, events and concerts – ranging from opera to indie rock bands – Bird in Hand has a broad and dedicated fan base.

Bird in Hand has recently garnered acclaim for their wines in both the Decanter World Wine awards 2011, the International Wine Challenge (IWC) and The International Wine Competition 2011.

Bird in Hand recently opened their first $1 million, three level cellar door in the 6 million strong city of Dalian, North Eastern China.

It seems almost fitting that Bird in Hand and its fine reputation for wine is now connected to a brand and a team known as the Reds. As the saying goes, ‘a bird in hand is worth two in the bush-. Glass of shiraz anyone?
