Repaying the faith
In a season which has so far yielded little success, Adelaide United’s Ben Garuccio has been one of the shining lights for the Reds this campaign.
The dynamic left-back has been a revelation under Head Coach, Guillermo Amor, expertly marauding up and down the left flank like clockwork. Garuccio’s stamina and phenomenal work-rate allows him to impact the game for the entire 90 minutes.
A combination of poise, speed, and agility on the ball, in order to deceive his opponent, means Garuccio offers another attacking dimension going forward. His lethal left-foot and proficiency in delivering accurate crosses into the area – which has thus far yielded two assists – is another trait in his vast repertoire.
Perhaps known for his attacking instincts, defensively he is also more than competent – leading the competition in interceptions and boasts an impressive 78% success rate in the tackle.
