Marco Kurz has confirmed several players are available for selection, whilst also providing an injury update ahead of Adelaide United’s clash with rivals Melbourne Victory.

The Reds travel to Etihad Stadium for their second Original Rivalry meeting in the Hyundai A-League this season on Friday night.

The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Round 3 at the Adelaide Oval.

Kurz said he will remain without Danish winger, Johan Absalonsen, for a couple more weeks.

However, the German went on to announce that full-backs, Michael Marrone and Ben Garuccio, are back from respective suspensions.

Vince Lia, who was an unused substitute in the loss to Sydney FC last Friday, is also in line to feature after recovering from a knee issue.

His last appearance was incidentally against the Victory, where he scored both goals in that draw – a pair of long-range strikes.

“Johan is not available,” he said. “I think he’s always on a good way and now we hope he can train next week a couple of exercises with the team.

“But he’s not available for Melbourne Victory, but Benny, Mickey and Vinnie are players that are available and for us it’s important that we have the players comeback from injury and suspensions.”

Defender, Taylor Regan, is ruled out for the match but is ahead of schedule with Kurz suggesting he may return via the Youth Team to help expedite his fitness levels.

“He started to train with the team this week but he was nine weeks out of training and it’s too early this game,” he said.

“But it’s good to have him back in the training process and maybe he can play a couple of minutes with the Youth Team but we will see.”

Adelaide United will face Melbourne Victory in Round 10 of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season on Friday, 8 December at Etihad Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.20pm ACDT.
