Adelaide United Head Coach, Marco Kurz, has called up a number of youngsters ahead of the Round 4 clash with Melbourne City at Coopers Stadium on Saturday night.

Ersan Gülüm is out after suffering a broken rib and punctured lung against Melbourne Victory, while Taylor Regan remains on the sidelines – nursing an ankle injury.

Danish winger, Johan Absalonsen, misses the game after suffering a thigh injury in the Westfield FFA Cup Semi-final win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday.

Midfielder, Vince Lia, is also absent with a knee complaint in that clash with Melbourne.

But the injuries have presented opportunities for the younger players in the squad to stake a claim for selection.

Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and Lachlan Brook receive maiden league call-ups this season, and Ben Warland has also been promoted following an impressive outing in the Semi-final.
