James Dalwood joins Reds’ Commercial Department

Adelaide United is excited to announce it has appointed James Dalwood as the Club’s new Commercial Business Manager.

With extensive experience in corporate business relations, Dalwood will join the Reds’ current Commercial Department, headed by Commercial Director, Adam Thomson, and supported by Partnerships Manager, Fabrizio Petrone, and Global Engagement Executive, Steven Chen.

Prior to joining the Club, Dalwood had recently spent more than four years at ISC Sport as an Account Manager and State Manager, overseeing territory growth and the development and implementation of sales strategies.

Dalwood also worked at Norwood Football Club as a Membership and Marketing Manager for five-and-a-half years, as well as various roles in commercial operations.

Speaking on his appointment, Dalwood said: “I’m extremely excited to be joining Adelaide United’s innovative commercial department.

“In today’s Australian sporting landscape, football is in a fantastic position with many avenues for growth.

“The current Adelaide United and A-Leagues partnerships, not to mention the new Network 10 and Paramount+ broadcast deal, all provide immense opportunities, as well as looking towards the commercial and membership offerings a redeveloped Coopers Stadium will bring.

“I’m looking forward to being part of this ever-expanding code, but, more importantly, a fantastic organisation.”

Thomson welcomed Dalwood’s arrival, saying: “We’re thrilled to have brought James into the Club.

“James is a highly-motivated individual and will bring a lot of additional expertise to our commercial department.

“Not only does James have extensive knowledge of corporate business, his vast network, particularly in the local South Australian sporting market, will undoubtedly prove to be invaluable as we continue to expand as a football club.

“With countless opportunities on the horizon for football in Australia, James’ addition to Adelaide United will see us continue to be a leader in the field.
