The Spaniard again played an instrumental role in the Club’s second win of the campaign against Melbourne City, as his inch-perfect delivery enabled Dylan McGowan to head home and restore parity.

Fresh from signing a three-year contract extension last week, Isaias could not hide his excitement as the 29-year-old admitted it was an extremely easy decision to make.

“It was fantastic news for me, I think my family here are very happy and I’m very happy here also,” Isaias said.

“It’s an easy decision for me (to re-sign), the Club made a big effort to keep me here.

“And it was an easy decision for me to stay here because my football was fantastic here and I’m very happy.”

Isaias hailed Boss, Amor, for continuing to impart his belief and confidence in the squad, during what has been a frustrating start to the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 campaign.

“Every day he believes in us and this is very important for our confidence and I think we’re playing some good football,” Isaias said.

“The only thing we’ve to do is keep working and keep working and this is his (Amor’s) message and if we continue we’ll get the wins.”

The Spanish maestro further revealed the team is taking it one match at a time, after their recent triumph over City, only focusing on their crucial away clash against the Sky Blues on Friday.

“We’re not thinking about the ladder, it’s difficult to see the table at the moment,” Isaias continued.

“We’re still not in a good situation, so I think it’s better to focus game by game and we know that when we go to Sydney and it’ll be a difficult game.

“They’re top of the table so it’ll be a tough game, but we can do it (get a positive result).

Adelaide United will face Sydney FC in Round 16 of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season on Friday, 20 January at Allianz Stadium. Kick-off is at 7.20pm ACDT.
