Football Federation Australia and the Hyundai A-League Clubs will recognise ANZAC Day 2015, the 100th Anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli, with special ceremonies at all five matches during Round 27 of the Hyundai A-League.

Players, officials and fans will take a moment to remember those who gave their lives in their service to their country not only in the First World War, but in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

FFA CEO David Gallop paid tribute to the ANZAC soldiers, and all the defence force personnel who have protected our nation.

“Anzac Day is part of the fabric of our nation and resonates with all Australians as we take time to remember and recognise those who gave their lives so we can enjoy the lifestyle we have in Australia,” Mr Gallop said.

“FFA and the A-League clubs have partnered with respective RSLs to ensure we show appropriate respect to what is a very important day for all Australians.”

For the Brisbane Roar FC versus Newcastle Jets match (Kick off 7:40pm, Friday 24 April), Brisbane Roar FC have partnered with the Enoggera Barracks to conduct a pre-match memorial ceremony and have also donated 100 complimentary tickets to the Enoggera Barracks personnel.

On Anzac Day, the Western Sydney Wanderers are working with the NSW RSL for their pre-match memorial ceremony before they face Perth Glory (Kick off 5.00pm) and Adelaide United are partnering with Camp Gallipoli for their match day events when they face Melbourne City FC (Kick off 7:00pm local)

On Sunday 26 April Wellington Phoenix are working with the Gurkha Battalion who are currently touring NZ and who will be part of the pre-match memorial ceremony before they meet Sydney FC (Kick off 5.00pm local) whilst Melbourne Victory, in consultation with the Victorian RSL, will also conduct a pre-match ceremony prior to their fixture against the Central Coast Mariners.
