Adelaide United FC striker Bruce Djite has been dealt another cruel setback after suffering a groin injury in the second half of Sunday-s loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers.

The injury occurred when Djite stretched out to receive a pass and it is an unrelated issue to the one he just returned from which had kept him out for two weeks prior to the match with the Wanderers.

Scans late yesterday revealed Djite has a grade one tear to his adductor meaning he will definitely miss Friday night-s match against Melbourne Victory and is rated an outside chance of returning for the Reds- following match against Sydney FC on February 16.

While Djite will be missing against the Victory, Argentinean forward Jeronimo Neumann is available having served his one match suspension.

The only other player currently on the Reds- injury list is winger Fabio Ferreira, who continues to recover from a groin injury.
