Goals for Grassroots is back this Friday night when the Reds take on Melbourne Victory.
Congratulations to Port Adelaide Lions SC on the club-s selection as Hyundai Goals For Grassroots recipient for Round 20 of the 2012/2013 Hyundai A-League.
The club will receive 20 complimentary tickets to attend the Reds’ mach against Melboune Victory on Friday night PLUS a guaranteed $1,000 with the possibility to increase this grant to a maximum of $10,000 based on the number of goals that Adelaide United scores during the match – courtesy of Hyundai.
The Hyundai Goals for Grassroots program was initiated to support the growth of football in Australia by nurturing the game at its grassroots level. It has been running for five years and it offers support to local clubs across the country by providing funding in the areas they need it the most. Already over $300,000 has been donated to worthy grassroots clubs around Australia.
Local and community based clubs can apply for selection in the program by completing an on-line application indicating why their club should receive support from the Goals for Grassroots during Season 8 of the Hyundai A-League.
Applications can be completed at www.goalsforgrassroots.com.au. To be eligible, clubs must belong to an association affiliated with the Football Federation Australia (FFA). The Facebook page will feature the winning team each week and will work as an online community where clubs can share stories and tips www.facebook.com/goalsforgrassroots.
