Adelaide United’s Youth Team play away to Brisbane Roar Youth this Saturday at Lanham Park in Round 5 of the Foxtel Y-League 2017/18 season.
The Young Reds’ are ready to bounce back this week ahead of their game against Brisbane Roar Youth at Lanham Park this Saturday.
Young Red’s boss, Paul Pezos, is optimistic this week after a tough result against Melbourne Victory Youth last Friday.
Speaking on last weeks result, Pezos said: “Obviously disappointed with the result, we knew it was going to be a tough game and they were going to respond after they were beaten 9-2 to Melbourne City the week before”
“Overall, still pleased and happy we played the football we’re trying to play and we’re going to continue working on that.”
Pezos was also happy with his team’s determination during the tough 90 minutes at the Etihad:
“The character and the discipline of the players to work hard for the whole game, I can’t fault them, they always give one-hundred percent.”
On this week’s Saturday fixture against an in-form Brisbane side, Pezos was confident his team could come away with the three-points.
“We’re always confident, we’ve seen their strengths and their weaknesses and hopefully we’re going to target those weaknesses and get the three points.”
“We want to win the game and that’s our objective week in week out, it’s going to be a tough game, but, again, we’ve prepared well and it’s going to be a good game”
On the training ground the team looked more in depth into their tactics in preparation for their tough opponents and an early Staurday kick-off.
“Tactical stuff that we’re working on, coming up with a game plan, we’ve prepared just like every other game” Pezos said,
“No special thoughts, though, it’s just about us and what we do, and that we do it to the best of our ability.”
Adelaide United Youth will face Brisbane Roar Youth in Round 5 of the Foxtel Y-League 2017/18 season on Saturday, 16 December at Lanham Park. Kick-off is at 11.00am ACDT.
