Adelaide United’s Youth Team play their second away game of the season this Friday at the Etihad Stadium against opponents Melbourne Victory in Round 4 of the Foxtel Y-League 2017/18 season.

The Young Reds are feeling enthusiastic ahead of their clash against Melbourne Victory Youth this Friday.

And Head Coach, Paul Pezos, and his team are thrilled about playing their fixture before a Hyundai A-League game at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking on the upcoming game, Pezos said: “Yeah, we’re very excited, playing away from home and it’s going to be a tough game.

“Not just the boys but myself, as well. To play in a very good stadium, and playing before an A-League fixture has left a good buzz around the training ground this past week.”

Pezos also mused on Melbourne Victory’s 9-2 loss to their fierce rivals, Melbourne City, last Sunday.

“We’re always confident. We believe in what we do, obviously they’re a good team, despite the result last week.

“We had a look at the game and we know they’re going to come out stronger, because obviously the result for them wouldn’t have been a pleasing one and we have to be on our a-game too.”

Pezos was reflective on the boys’ training over the past week and was optimistic about the result in Round 2 against Melbourne City:

“The boys have been very focused. We’ve been paying attention to Melbourne Victory and we’ve come up with a game plan that hopefully we can execute tomorrow,

“I’m very proud of the boys and their efforts in Round 2, and of course their character against what was a very tough opposition.”

Adelaide United Youth will face Melbourne Victory Youth in Round 4 of the Foxtel Y-League 2017/18 season on Friday, 8 December at The Etihad Stadium. Kick-off is at 4.30pm ACDT.
