With the Reds boasting a 6-0 lead, the Spaniard inflicted the final nail in the Jets’ coffin with a stunning long-range strike in injury time. Isaías dribbled forward about 25 yards from goal before spectacularly curling his shot into the top right corner. It was the former Espanyol man’s first goal for the Club as Adelaide equalled their biggest win in the Hyundai A-League – a record also previously set by Adelaide in 2011.

Marcos Flores’ individual goal – 11/09/10 @ Hindmarsh Stadium

Adelaide’s Round 6 encounter with Newcastle will forever be remembered for the individual brilliance displayed by Argentine Marcos Flores. From 40 yards out, the then 24-year-old received the ball and evaded two challenges before dribbling past two more Jets defenders, and dispatched his left-footed finish into the top corner. The fabulous solo goal sent the home crowd into absolute scenes of jubilation.

Fabian Barbiero’s impressive angled finish – 09-01-09 @ Hindmarsh Stadium

Fabian Barbiero’s inaugural goal for the Club simply put was one for the ages. In the third to last round of the 2008/09 regular season the young South Australian midfielder produced a moment of magic to give his side the lead. After picking up the ball outside the box, Barbiero freed himself from the attentions of two Newcastle players to squeeze home a terrific left-footed finish on a tight angle, at the near post.

Greg Owen’s wonder strike – 15/12/06 @ Hindmarsh Stadium

Following a frenetic clash with the game evenly poised at 2-2 after Adelaide were twice pegged back, courtesy of two remarkable Jets goals – Greg Owens emphatically had the final say. He controlled the ball on the edge of the area, making enough space for himself to bend his curling drive into the far top corner and giving the goalkeeper no chance. It was a goal befitting of winning any game and as a result it snapped a four-game winless run.
