Adelaide United is delighted to announce Foodbank SA has agreed to become the Club’s Charity Partner for the upcoming 2018/19 season.

Foodbank SA is the largest hunger relief organisation in the state, who aid the more than 102,000 South Australians experiencing food insecurity at some stage each month.

The not-for-profit organisation will also be helping launch the Club’s 2018/19 season, involving our respective Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League, and Foxtel Y-League teams at the Hilton Adelaide on Saturday, 13 October.

Funds raised from the Season Launch, will go towards facilitating Foodbank SA’s operations, in addition to putting food on the table for vulnerable South Australians.

Foodbank SA will also implement a couple of gameday activities at Coopers Stadium during the season as a way of collecting vital donations.

Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Kosmina, lauded the new partnership and hoped it would increase awareness of the amazing work done by Foodbank SA.

“We’re delighted to partner with Foodbank SA for the upcoming season,” Kosmina said.

“Foodbank does a tremendous amount of work, providing food for thousands of South Australian families.

“As a Club we’re thrilled to partner with an organisation who share our community-focused values and we’re excited for the opportunity to further elevate Foodbank SA’s presence in the South Australian community through our football and community programs.”

Foodbank SA Chief Executive Officer, Greg Pattinson, said he was excited to be aligning their charity with Adelaide United.

“Foodbank is delighted to begin a partnership with Adelaide United for the upcoming A-League season and beyond,” he said.

“Like Foodbank, the Adelaide United team is an integral part of the SA community and it is fantastic that the team and its supporters will be helping Foodbank provide food to struggling families right across the state.”
