Elimination Final Stats Preview – #ADLvMCY

Ahead of Adelaide United’s do-or-die Elimination Final against Melbourne City on Sunday night, Opta has provided the key statistics.

The Reds have not beaten City in their previous seven attempts with their last win occurring in January 2017 following a 2-1 victory.

However, in the pair’s only previous encounter in the Finals Series, Adelaide marched to an emphatic 4-1 victory in 2016.

United are also currently enjoying a five-match undefeated streak, and will be looking for a third straight triumph in the league since May 2016.

Craig Goodwin scored as well as set up two against Brisbane Roar in Round 27 to take his league tally to 10 goals and nine assists for the regular season.

Isaías also enjoyed another influential outing, boasting an 89% passing accuracy, won seven duels and also scored to finish the regular campaign with a personal best four goals.

Scott Galloway impressed at right-back, laying on two assists for his teammates, completed 86% of his passes and prevailed in three duels.

George Blackwood also found the net for the second successive week and fired three shots while recording a 94% passing accuracy.
