Adelaide United FC-s list of impressive corporate partners has grown further with Australia’s leading transport fuel supplier and convenience retailer Caltex signing on as the club-s ‘back of shorts- sponsor for the next two seasons.

The commitment of a high profile and nationally recognised company such as Caltex is a major coup for the Reds and the club is delighted to align itself with a company of Caltex-s stature.

Caltex is the only integrated oil refining and marketing company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, and its business value chain incorporates operational excellence throughout supply, refining, logistics and marketing.

With Caltex-s high standards and drive for innovation and success, its values fittingly align with what Adelaide United FC sets out to achieve on and off the field, suggesting that the partnership has potential to be an extremely prosperous one.

Caltex Brand Advertising and Marketing Communications Manager Mark Leathan revealed that one of the key reasons behind Caltex-s commitment to Adelaide United is because of a new development the company has set its sights on establishing in South Australia within the next two years.

“Caltex plans to open a new fuel terminal in South Australia in 2013 giving greater security of fuel supply to the state,” Mr Leathan said.

“This project is part of Caltex’s overall commitment to develop infrastructure and capability to meet Australia’s growing transport, agricultural and mining fuel needs.

As part of this move we are looking for partners with similar values to ours. Our company values suit Adelaide United as a team with a history of success serving and caring for South Australians.”

“We wish the team all the success in the coming season and look forward to our ongoing partnership.”

Caltex will be displayed on the back of the team-s playing shorts for the first time when the Reds take on Sydney FC at Hindmarsh on October 22.
