The Adelaide United FC Board and everyone at the club would like to thank all of the fans who have supported the club over the course of the season, particularly in the club’s two finals.
Rain or shine, home or away – the support, passion and dedication from Adelaide United fans this season has again emphasised that they are some of the best in the country in any sporting club, let alone the Hyundai A-League.
Over 15,000 turned out for the club-s elimination final against Gold Coast United on Sunday, turning Hindmarsh Stadium into a sea of red. The noise and atmosphere echoing around the stadium for the full 90 minutes was a credit to the fans, and the devotion and enthusiasm of Adelaide United supporters cannot be questioned.
Although the game may not have finished with the right result, the club, and in particular the board, coaching staff and players, want you to know it is definitely appreciated and look forward to an even more successful campaign next season.
The club salutes you, a valued supporter of Adelaide United FC, for your commitment and passion. Without its fans, Adelaide United would not be regarded as one of the best supported clubs in the league, let alone exist.
