The Board of Adelaide United advises that Glenn Elliott yesterday tendered his resignation as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2014.

Mr Elliott will take up a consultancy to further develop the club-s football and indigenous initiatives in the Northern Territory, where it is already active with its Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Program.

The club is focused on developing the code in indigenous communities, and linking its work with existing education and health programs.

Glenn Elliott became CEO in 2010 when the SA consortium took over the club. He was previously the CEO of the North Adelaide Football Club and has been involved with sporting clubs for more than 18 years.

“The club has improved both on and off the field, in particular in the areas of communication and engagement with the fans,” Mr Elliott said.

“I am proud to resign as CEO with a good foundation in place at United.”

The Board thanks Mr Elliott for his services as CEO and looks forward to his continued involvement with the NT programs.

Football Director Michael Petrillo will become acting Chief Executive Officer from June 1, 2014, while the Board considers Mr Elliott-s replacement.
