Adelaide United has been the most successful Australian participant in the AFC Champions League competition to date as the only club to progress past the Round 16 to the Final.
After finishing third in the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 Adelaide United is not eligible for the 2012 campaign but will be striving to secure a spot in the 2013 campaign with a top two finish in the 2011/12 Hyundai A-League.
