The 2012 Adelaide United Junior Development Academy is now open for registrations and will be commencing on 16th-18th July 2012.
This specific identification program delivers a 14 week professional skill based program focussing on the development & improvement of technical ability for boys and girls throughout South Australia. Adelaide United-s Youth Team & Academy Coach Michael Valkanis will again formulate a high quality coaching plan together with senior Assistant Coach Luciano Trani, Strength & Conditioning Coach Peter Cklamovski and qualified coaches.
The Adelaide United Development Academy is committed to developing and indentifying the best junior footballers in the state. The Baby Reds program (5-7 years of age) will only be held at the Central Zone, while there will be programs run for kids between 8-16yrs of age at the North, West & Central zones.
“The main focus of the program will be on developing the technical skills of the young player, as well as giving them an all around development in all aspects of the game,” Academy Manager Michael Valkanis said.
“The technical resources of a team cannot only be measured in terms of what you go out and buy, but by what you produce internally, within the club, starting from our own academy program.”
The program includes 14 weeks of specialised training & development including one session at Hindmarsh Stadium, plus an Adelaide United Academy Kit including jacket, shirt, shorts, socks, 10% discount on all official merchandise at the Adelaide United Club Store, subscription to the club-s E-News, Game Day certificate presentation at one of the Reds- Hyundai A-League home games next season and appearances from a host of Reds- players throughout the program.
