Following on from the success of the 2015/16 Adelaide United Football School, the 15-week program will return in 2016/17.
The Reds’ Football Schools Director, and Guillermo Amor’s new Assistant Coach, Jacobo Ramallo, will once again direct the program, which will commence on Tuesday, 4 October 2016.
Throughout the program, Adelaide United players from both the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League will make appearances at the sessions, helping out with coaching while also signing autographs and taking photos.
In addition, participants of this season’s Football School will have the opportunity to trial for Adelaide United’s Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) squad, which will head to Spain in April 2017 to compete in the competition.
Mediterranean International Cup (MIC)
The MIC is going to be held at several football facilities along the Costa Brava in Girona from 11/04/2017 – 16/04/2017.
Along the 15 years of history, the MIC has seen many talents that not long after became professional players, playing with some of the most recognized teams in the world.

Port Pirie Football Schools (registrations have now closed).
With Adelaide United heading to regional South Australia as part of their pre-season preparations, Port Pirie’s future football stars will have the chance to hone their skills by participating in a unique, three-day intensive Adelaide United Football School.
The programme commences on Wednesday, 13 July and concludes on Friday, 15 July, with each session running from 10.30am until 1.30pm at St Mark’s College, Bosco Oval.
Some of Adelaide United’s players will also be attending the final session to share their knowledge on the game and help to run a variety of drills.
April School Holidays Football Schools (registrations have now closed).
The Adelaide United Football School will return in the April school holidays for a four day intensive programme.
Based on the proven FC Barcelona philosophy, the programme has been developed and will be implemented by UEFA Pro Licensed Coach, Jacobo Ramallo, and former Barcelona legend and current Adelaide United Head Coach, Guillermo Amor.
The comprehensive four day programme has been designed to teach young footballers the skills, discipline, and commitment required to take their football to the next level.

In other exciting news, Adelaide United, in conjunction with Adelaide United Members Club Inc, will take a boy Junior Reds side to compete in the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) in Spain, where the Reds Youth team last year achieved a spot in the Quarter Finals. Participants of the Football School will not need to register for trials to compete in MIC as players will be identified and introduced into the final stages of the trial process. Positions in the squad will be allocated to Football School participants.
The Football Schools will run for 15-weeks and be held at three different venues throughout Adelaide.
